Welcome, Holidays!

When Taylor Swift performed at the Outlets at Anthem Tree Lighting in 2006, few had heard of her. Phillip Phillips has since been to town to light the tree. So has Michelle Branch. Not to suggest a cause-and-effect relationship between the lighting of the Outlets’ enormous Christmas tree and super-stardom, but this is probably your best chance to see Joanna (JoJo) Levesque and Maggie Rose perform live.

JoJo, 24, got a break at 13 on “America’s Most Talented Kids.” She soon released hits “Baby It’s You,” and the Billboard pop-chart topper, “Leave (Get Out).” JoJo recently emerged from a long legal battle with her old record company to release three new singles under her new label, Atlantic. JoJo is also an actress best known for her role in the 2013 movie “G.B.F.” Her powerful vocals will wow the crowd.

Maggie Rose chased her Country music dream from Maryland to Nashville when she was just 19 to release her debut album “Cut to Impress” in 2013 which featured a couple hit singles. Rose won an Emmy for writing and performing “Get Ya Game On,” the NFL-theme song used by Comcast SportsNet. Her melodic voice leaves listeners swooning.

This year’s event will also point the spotlight on local talent. Just Seconds Apart (JSA) is a delightful group formed by talented 16-year-old triplets from Scottsdale. The siblings wrote their first song together at the age of 9, and their “Unbelievable” music video debuted on MTV’s Fresh Faces.

ASU’s female a cappella group, the Pitchforks and Rhapsody School of Music’s Christmas Band will also perform. Beyond the musical performances, there will be movies, games, activities and, of course, snow!

Come early for a seat on the stands, or bring chairs.
