Tallest Tree, Disney Star & Wizardry

Outlets at Anthem Tree-lighting

By Robert Roy Britt — She plays Trish in Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally.” You might remember her as Maya Blart in the “Mall Cop” movies.

Now you can see Raini Rodriguez live at the Outlets at Anthem’s annual lighting of the giant Christmas tree, along with three other musical performers.

Past acts at the event include Taylor Swift (2006, before she was world famous), Michelle Branch (2011) and Phillip Phillips (2012).

This year, there’s a theme: Fans of J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” are encouraged to dress up as their favorite wizard and, during the event, can create a wizarding wand, and win prizes (including movie tickets).

Other Performers this Year

Opening act John Lindahl was a group performer in the first season of Fox’s “X Factor” and went on to sign with Epic Records.

Singer-songwriter Tiffany Alvord is a YouTube sensation, with more than 500 million views and nearly 3 million subscribers.

Arizona resident
Payton Parrish brings R&B, pop and rock influences to his country music in the closing act of the evening.
