Dr. Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Arizona in 1993 and went on to graduate from veterinary school at Colorado State University in 1997.

She practiced for six years in Kingman, getting to know some amazing people and their four-legged family members.

Born and raised in Phoenix before relocating to Washington, Dr. Young grew up with a menagerie of animals: dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, an iguana, and a pot-bellied pig named Cleo.

“I wanted to foster that relationship people have with their pets,” said Young. “I knew by keeping their beloved pets happy and healthy that I would be helping people as well.”

Although she really loved everything the Pacific Northwest had to offer, she knew in her heart she was ready to come back home.

From the first moment she drove into Anthem in 2009, she knew this was where she wanted to raise her family. She fell in love with the small town atmosphere and tight community spirit she saw every time she found an excuse to visit. She finally realized her dream early this year when her family found a house here in Anthem and opened Daisy Mountain Veterinary Hospital. Her husband, Jeff, their 8-year-old daughter, Hannah, and she have been welcomed into this community with open arms and know they have found our “forever home”. She looks forward to becoming your other family doctor!
