The Community Center


The vibrant Anthem Community Center’s sprawling features include:

  • A full-size, outdoor heated swimming pool with lap lanes
  • A diving area with high and low diving boards
  • A children’s waterpark that rivals the finest resorts
  • Full gymnasium for basketball and other court activities
  • A mezzanine-level gym with dozens of exercise machines, weightlifting equipment and spectacular mountain views
  • Rooms for aerobics, yoga, tai chi, zumba and countless other classes
  • Six outdoor tennis courts
  • A fully certified child care center

The center is buzzing with activity with some 2,500 residents passing through each day.


The Central Park

The Community Center sits on the edge of a lushly landscaped 63-acre community park including:












  • Multiple lighted soccer, baseball and football fields
  • Basketball and beach volleyball courts
  • A catch-and-release fishing pond
  • The Adventure Playground with its massive play structure and splash pad
  • A small-gauge train offering serene tours of the park
  • A skateboard/scooter park with a 6-foot bowl
  • An outdoor amphitheater


Anthem Golf & Country Club offers 36 holes of championship golf on the Persimmon and Ironwood courses, as well as two full golf practice areas with all-grass driving ranges, short game areas and two large putting greens, The clubhouses also feature their own pool and fitness facilities.


Anthem hosts several landmark events each year drawing thousands of residents and visitors from throughout the state.












  • Anthem Days, a community business and arts fair, and a carnival ride
  • Music in May, an outdoor music festival bringing a new musical artist each Friday during May
  • Indendence Day Celebration, full-fledged fireworks show typically on July 3
  • Daisy Mountain Veterans Day Parade, the largest Veterans Day event in the Southwest
  • Autumnfest, pumpkin carving, pony rides, carnival rides and games
  • Holiday in the Park

Most of the events feature food vendors and a beer garden.


There are several shopping plazas in the Anthem area.

The Outlets at Anthem I-17 and Anthem Way. (Hours: Monday–Saturday 10 am–8 pm; Sunday 10 am–7 pm) Some 50 or so outlets stores including Coach, J.Crew, Columbia,  DKNY, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Aeropostale, Calvin Klein

The Outlets at Anthem hosts the largest holiday tree in the nation and the tree-lighting event brings nationally known entertainers and draws upwards of 20,000 spectators.

Anthem Marketplace Anchored by Safeway, and home to Legends Bar & Grill, one of Anthem’s first businesses and a favorite hangout of many locals.

Shops at Anthem Where Dave Janssen’s School of Music calls home, as does the award-winning Q-to-U Barbecue, and the always popular Shanghai Kitchen.

Anthem Crossroads Anchored by Fry’s Signature Marketplace and home of Roberto’s Mexican Restaurant, made famous by “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”

Anthem Commerce Park, Across Anthem Way from the Outlets, this cluster of retail and semi-industrial plazas has everything from Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson to Above & Beyond Pet Grooming.


North Valley Regional Library

North Valley Regional Library, part of the Maricopa County Library District, conveniently shares space with Boulder Creek High School.

Its collection of more than 80,000 titles including:

  • Best-sellers
  • Books on CD
  • Music CDs
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • DVDs
  • e-books

The library has 50 computers with Internet access.

Teen and youth areas with collections dedicated specifically to them. Programs and events for adults, teens and children are offered regularly.
